Privacy Policy
Last updated June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brae Applications, LLC (“Brae,” “we,” “us”), the operator of the HomeTeams Care Wallet service (the “Service”), collects, uses, and shares information. It applies to members who use Care Wallet and to visitors of our public pages.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
- Bank & payout information — the bank account details needed to send you withdrawals, collected and verified through our payout partner.
Information from linked cards
- When you link a payment card, our card-linking processor shares transaction details for purchases on that card — such as the merchant, amount, date, and a card-network identifier. We use this to determine reward eligibility. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — basic log information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- to provide the Service — calculating, crediting, and reversing rewards;
- to process withdrawals to your bank account;
- to verify identity, prevent fraud, and maintain security;
- to communicate with you about your account and support requests;
- to comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; and
- to improve and develop the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers / sub-processors — our authentication and database provider (Supabase), our card-linking processor, and our payment and payout partners, each acting on our behalf.
- Participating merchants — aggregate or limited information needed to fund and reconcile the rewards they sponsor. We do not sell your personal information.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our members and Brae.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
5. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion of your information;
- request a portable copy of your information;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell it); and
- withdraw consent or object to certain processing.
You can exercise these rights, or unlink a card and close your account, by emailing support@hometeams.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or by email.
