These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HomeTeams Care Wallet service (the “Service”) provided by Brae Applications, LLC (“Brae,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, linking a payment card, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Care Wallet is a merchant-funded rewards service. When you link an eligible payment card and make a qualifying purchase at a participating merchant, that merchant funds a cashback reward that we credit to your Care Wallet balance. You may later withdraw your available balance to a connected bank account, subject to these Terms. Brae is not a bank, and your Care Wallet balance is not a deposit account.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@hometeams.io if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Linking a Payment Card
To earn rewards you authorize us and our card-linking processor to securely associate your payment card with your account and to receive transaction details (such as merchant, amount, date, and a network identifier) for purchases made on that card. We use this information solely to determine reward eligibility and to detect fraud. You may unlink a card at any time, which stops future transaction monitoring for that card. We do not store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is collected.
4. Rewards, Credits & Clawbacks
- Earning.Reward rates are set by each participating merchant and may change at any time. A reward is “pending” until the underlying purchase settles.
- Reversals. If a qualifying purchase is later refunded, disputed, or reversed, we may reverse (claw back) the corresponding reward from your balance. If your balance is insufficient, the reversal may be applied against future rewards.
- Fraud & abuse. We may withhold, reverse, or cancel rewards we reasonably believe arise from fraud, manipulation, or violation of these Terms.
5. Withdrawals & Payouts
You may request a payout of your available (non-pending) balance to a verified bank account. Payouts are processed through our payment partners and may take several business days to arrive. We may impose minimum withdrawal amounts, verification requirements, or limits to comply with law and to prevent fraud. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to rewards you receive.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
- create multiple or fictitious accounts, or link cards you are not authorized to use;
- attempt to manipulate reward calculations or interfere with the Service’s operation; or
- access the Service through automated means except as expressly permitted.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties including our card-linking processor, payment and payout providers, and infrastructure providers. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those parties’ terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of participating merchants.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rewards will always be available.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brae will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or rewards, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the rewards credited to your account in the prior twelve months or US $100.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Rewards reversals, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability) will survive.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where superseded by applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
